My kids asked me to have a dog for a very long time . I knew that that will not be easy but finally I agreed . we got a new born little dog , my oldest daughter gave him the biggest name she could find LEO . ( Leonardo Da Vinci )
Leo was an outside dog in our backyard . So sweet but he was growing to be bigger than what we needed , flowerbeds were destroyed and he started to be too big for my little daughter to play with . In less than a year , My kids lost the fun of having Leo around . So Leo had to spend more time alone .
My wife complained that she was doing all the work by herself when it came to Leo .
I loved Leo , but I work most of the day . I could feel his heart beating so fast out of excitement when I had time to go visit him in our backyard or when I took him to a park near by . He needed attention and love so much but Leo had unlimited love for us all the time .
My wife and I decided to give Leo his freedom by giving him a different home that a well deserved loving dog can have. I went to the SPCA where they can find a good home for him for a $ 100.00 fee , but there was no room for him . when I was trying some other places to find him a good home , a friend came up with a great idea .
My friend said , you know who can take very good care of a dog? A Homeless man.
I wondered , but I found out that , it is true . A Homeless man needs a companion ,
And will feed his dog before he eats . They both can give love and attention to each other all day, Every day .
I had to take an action , which way I am going to go with .
* Keep my dog with less attention but still a good home .
or
* Give my Dog his freedom to be with someone that doesn't but, a home ( homeless) , He has all the time and
attention plus love to give . Since I am in California , weather is mild , plus Leo will get a chance to see different places so he will have a chance to have a better life . I had to let him go for his Freedom .
